A physician with a unique approach to cardiology, Tiago is a cardiologist and echocardiographer trained at the largest center in Latin America, with 15 years of experience in the area of ​​structural heart disease, especially valvular heart disease.

With a career marked by work at renowned international centers such as the Red Cross, he focused his training on one of the fastest-growing areas within cardiology over the past two decades. He served as a staff preceptor at the Dante Pazzanese Institute, contributing to the training of more than 350 cardiology residents and being part of the Heart Team led by Dr. Eduardo Sousa, responsible for the world's first drug-eluting stent implant.

His expertise includes active participation in international trials, such as the renowned PARTNER 3 (TAVI prosthesis), and in projects with global impact. Focused on innovation and technology, he founded the world's largest educational platform for structural heart disease, offering editorial content with broad reach among clinical cardiologists.

Tiago currently serves on several medical societies and specialized departments, in addition to coordinating the largest postgraduate program in cardiology, echocardiography, and valvular heart disease in the country through the Afya Medical Education Group. His leadership in research and teaching has been essential in bringing innovation to a traditional field, expanding the horizons of medical knowledge in structural heart disease in Brazil.
